Main Routes of Ferry From Spain to Morocco

The most common way of travelling to Morocco is going by ferry to Tangier. There are two regular routes: Algeciras – Tanger-Med Port ⎝ (one hour and a half by boat). This port is in Alcazarseguir, 50 kilometres away from Tangier and 30 from Ceuta.
Tangiers may not be the “real Morocco,” but it is definitely worth a day visit if that is all the time you have.
Is Tangier worth visiting ? If you’re nearby than certainly it’s well worth a visit as it has a distinctly unique feel you won’t find elsewhere in Morocco . However, if you won’t be near the city it may not really be worth the time to reach it .

In truth, Morocco is a safe place to visit. There’s only really small crime there ( scams and pickpockets) and you’re unlikely to be assaulted or seriously hurt as a tourist in the country. Morocco is super safe for tourists now.
This channel (referred to as a strait) is called the Strait of Gibraltar. The Strait of Gibraltar has Spain and Gibraltar on the European side and Morocco and Ceuta on the African side.
The ferry crossing from Algeciras to Ceuta is operated by 3 companies, both of which take roughly 1 hour. The prices for the FRS, Trasmediterranea and Balearia sailings are roughly 35 euros for a foot passenger, but you can take a vehicle too.
The Barcelona Tangier Med ferry route connects Spain with Morocco and is currently operated by 2 ferry companies. The Grandi Navi Veloci service runs up to 5 times per week with a sailing duration of around 29 hours 30 minutes while the Grimaldi Lines service runs up to 1 times per week with a duration from 28 hr.
Melilla is a safe city to visit, though not unconditionally so. There are always lots of people enjoying the beach, etc. until late; though it is not advisable to travel alone at night, even in the city centre. Street robbery is not an uncommon occurrence for people walking alone at night in Melilla .
Strait of Gibraltar
Tangier has been the summer site of the Moroccan royal residence since 1962. An important port and trade centre, the city has excellent road and rail connections with Fès, Meknès, Rabat, and Casablanca, as well as an international airport and regular shipping services to Europe.
